One of the keys to breaking down achievement barriers is providing culturally–responsive, engaging educational programming that inspires and uplifts students. Using Hip-Hop and audio – visual media is a way to invite students into learning that they can relate to and enjoy. Mentorship and support in navigating the complex and confusing world of higher education and finance can make the difference between thriving and struggling later in life.
Program Activities
Tech-Enabled Educational Enrichment
Using culturally responsive digital modules to introduce students to mathematics, science, language arts, and more.
Health and Wellness Program
Gifted & Fit promotes healthy self - esteem, physical fitness, and social - emotional learning.
Resource Distribution
Delivers digital educational content to children and parents immediately through downloads. Additionally, we will distribute laptops, tablets, and other school supplies.
Financial Literacy Program
Covering everything from financial psychology to understanding credit, budgeting, and investing. Gifted and Lit seeks to address gaps in education and achievement for underserved and at-risk populations through programming that teaches, inspires, and supports growth and development.
Youth Mentorship Program
This is a 12-week program structured around serving teenagers in grades 9-12. After 1 2-weeks, participants that complete our program, will improve their critical thinking, self-awareness, decision making and confidence.
